Meeting with the Aborigines

The aboriginal inhabitants of Sri Lanka are known as the Veddhas. They are truly a fascinating people. Their leader is Tisa Hami. Descended from the country's stone age inhabitants, these primitive folk cling persistently to their age-old life-style by living off the hunt and gathering the fruit of the land. Veddhas are known for their rich meat diet. Game is commonly shared amongst the family and clan.

A safari on an elephant back is an amazing experience. Clients get the opportunity of interacting with these big animals.hey can also enjoy a ride through the wilderness and view the beautiful sceneries. It’s a totally different experience, which makes you feel connected to the current environment, as you view wildlife on the back of an elephant.

Rafting

Looking for some thrilling adventure on the water? Why not go white water rafting?

It’s a fun filled activity which can be enjoyed in the numerous rapids found in Sri Lanka. Kitulgala; located in the hill country is among the most famous areas for rafting. It’s an activity for the adventurous at heart   it’s enjoyed by many, new and experienced folk alike.
Tours can be arranged from 1 hour to half a day including lunch.

Wildlife Safaris

Wildlife safaris can be organized to some of Sri Lanka’s most famous National Forests. The little Island has 86 species of mammal, of which the elephant takes lead spot. You can also view the beautiful peacocks and many other bird species. These intriguing animals can be seen in extended families as well as solely. Among some of the dangerous predators the Leopard can often be sighted at dawn or dusk looking for it’s prey.

Under water

The picturesque coral reef encircles the coastal area of Sri Lanka, providing an excellent opportunity for skin-diving. Hikkaduwa, Ambalangoda, Gintota, Galle, Unawatuna   Tangalle are among some of the famous locations for underwater adventure. The most famous beaches belong to the North, East and Southern parts of Sri Lanka.

Mountain Climbing

The hill country comprises a range of hills and magnificent mountains. Ideal for the adventurous climbers. There are several peaks which are highly ecological and rich in bio diversity which are located in the hill country as well as in the southern parts of Sri Lanka. Adam’s Peak also known as Sri Pada is a sacred peak in Sri Lanka to which many people make pilgrimages to worship the foot print of Lord Buddha.

Train Trip

If you prefer to relax and enjoy the scenery, then a train trip is the ideal choice. Pattipola is the highest railway station which is 1892m above sea level. Being the 18th tunnel on the railway line from Colombo, it’s identified as ‘Tunnel 18’. A trip as such would be a memorable experience.
